Federal Budget Submission

The Government of Canada invited all Canadians to share their ideas on how best to support Canadians, their businesses, and the national economy as part of 2024 pre-budget consultations. The Social Housing and Human Rights organizing committee submitted a submission calling for the inclusion of our call to action within the 2024 Federal Budget.
Submission to the Government of Canada regarding Budget 2024
To ensure that everyone in Canada has access to good-quality, safe housing, we must ensure federal investment in public and non-profit owned rent-geared-to-income housing. The SHHR organizing committee prepared a budget submission for the federal government and encouraged SHHR supporters to make submissions themselves advocating for social housing to be center stage in the 2024 Budget. This submission outlines our call to action, and is signed by our supporting organizations.
