Media Release: Federal Budget 2024
Budget 2024 has failed to adequately invest in housing that is affordable to the lowest-income households and people experiencing homelessness. Apart from some modest steps in the right direction, the budget continues to rely on failed policies that focus on incentivizing the private market to produce low-rent housing. To ensure that everyone in Canada has access to good-quality, safe housing, we must ensure federal investment in public and non-profit owned rent-geared-to-income housing.
