The House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance is inviting Canadians to participate in its annual pre-budget consultations process.
The Social Housing and Human Rights coalition has prepared a submission urging the federal government to commit substantial investments towards accessible social housing. Use this to submit your own brief before May 22nd at 11:59 pm EDT.
Submission to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance (FINA)
To end chronic homelessness and help bring renters out of core housing need, significant federal investments in the construction and maintenance of accessible social housing are required. The SHHR organizing committee prepared a submission and requests SHHR supporters to make their own advocating for social housing to be prioritized in the Fall 2026 federal budget.
